Street appeal help

This is the exterior of our new to us house, I would like to improve the street appeal. We are going to paint next year and have thought about increasing the height of the LR window. The stone work under the LR window is cracking and needs replacing but with what! Any suggestions regarding paint colour and updates would be appreciated!
