Great advice about picking a new paint color after you've selected your finishes. It's so much easier to match a paint color to your countertop and tile than vice versa! And what part of the country do you live in?

North, South, East or West light?

East light.

Given you are leaning toward grays and blues, I would start making up some "sample Paint boards" now because that will give you inspiration as well as confidence in your kitchen choices. Make your final choice after you select any colors for countertops or backsplash. One paint I would suggest is SW Sea Salt. Your furnishings look light and white and that color along with the colors you suggested you are leaning toward in the kitchen would be very pleasing. I would stay away from gray walls though. You have such a bright, beautiful look now, I would tend to keep that look. It is very nice.

East light…great in the morning, nice and strong, but by noon it has disappeared. I like keeping it all white, but not just any white. You need certain undertones.

Sorry, went looking for the off white and a picture and lost the thread.

My suggestion is B.M Marscapone because there is a warm yellow undertone. It will handle the East morning light and keep the room looking yummy the rest of the day.

I have used this white in a client’s home and it is a beautiful color.

BTW, it goes great with B.M Sea Star.
