Painting an exposed ceiling in basement

I'm considering painting the exposed ceiling in our basement with a sprayer. Is there anything I need to consider when doing this? It's an unfinished basement in a new construction with no sheetrock, flooring, ceilings, light fixtures, etc. Do I need to do anything with the wires to keep paint off of them or can I just spray them too?

All areas of the basement ceiling that could be affected if we painted. We have spray foam on the ceiling of the outer walls of the basement (wood basement).

Why not just put in a ceiling either drywall or dropped

To be a habitable space, all of that fire hazard has to be covered with drywall. Leave the the spraying alone until that is done.
