During the fabrication process, the Alpinus is extremely prone to chipping which is very time consuming for fabricators. This project was a challenge for my fabricator but they finished it beautifully! The large island even has a joint and the edges are laminated. You just need to find someone with at least 10 years experience and someone very willing to do the job. Once the granite is installed, you need to be careful not to hit the edges with anything heavy that could potentially chip the stone.
