The space has great lighting, a cream or lightly sheer pair of curtains would add a lovely touch.

Cellular blinds would be nice you can put them up when you want it totally open

Beautiful space. In the living area, cream linen panels on each side of the windows would be nice. They would soften the look but keep the view. You would need to move the art. I'd leave the French doors in the dining room alone.

I personally love the added texture and color that window treatments can add to a room. If you don't want to sacrifice all the lovely light, I agree with creative6938 that sheers are an excellent option. Curtains aren't you're only option though if you think it looks a bit bare along that wall. Cornices or Roman shades in a contemporary pattern or textured solid would be nice additions too. Dark colors would push the room to a cozy feeling while light colors would keep the current airy atmosphere. If you're in a four season climate, you could switch them twice a year to get the ambience you desire. Also, burlap curtains (Ballard Designs has some nice ones) would be neutral, let some light in, work in any season, and still dress the windows up a bit. Good luck!

What a great room! I understand not wanting to detract from the view. How about a off-white, matte finish, lined curtain? I would use weights in the hem of the curtains to make them hang very straight.

Another vote for curtains. Would do a total of 4 panels on those windows over the couch. Something like these from PB would look great.

I'd go with top down Roman shades...but they aren't cheap. Alternatively I'd hang a clean lined linen drape like in one of th photos....

A room does not look fully dressed without window treatments. I would do floor to ceiling drapes mounted at least 8" from outside of window not to obstruct any of your view. I would do a complimentary fabric or woven wooden blind on the French doors. I think the difference in your home would be stunning.

Uncovered windows in the nighttime give me the creeps. So I'd have curtains or something to cover them, not just for the looks of the room.

No I would not have curtains. I personally dislike them in my home...they are fine in others homes. I also live on land where privacy is not an issue but moon and sun are. I have up/down shades to address that issue. If you want them go simple. If you don't I wouldn't worry what "others" think.

I had the same problem. Our house is all windows facing the back because we have a view of our infinity pool, a lake and some lovely hills. I am a curtain person so we added wood roman shades to all of the windows and then in the living area added some neutral curtains and sheers. We keep the pushed back enough away from the windows and I am thrilled with the way it turned out. I need to find a photo for you.
