Vintage Stove Griddle cleaning question..

Hi Folks, I got this amazing Okeffee & Merrit stove on Craigslist. The seller says they used it right up until a month ago, and even the clock works!

My question is, how do I clean the griddle? It has black stains. I really don't mind it, but thought if there was a inexpensive way to make it prettier I would try.

In other threads here, I learned about baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Miracle for oven racks, and I'd think it would do a good job on your griddle. I got a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide. I don't know how well it would work for first aid, but it was great to have it all ready to go for the racks. Just completely cover the marks with baking soda, and spray all over so that's it's damp and pasty, but not wet and runny. Let it sit. Come back in a few hours and scrub lightly with a nonscratch scrubby. Repeat as needed for heavier bits.

I have the same stove and wouldnt trade it for the world- I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

You can scrub it or use oven cleaner- it its scratched and not stuff on it you can have it replated.
