I want to do a floor quilt for baby-to-be, made of flannels. And

I would like to start her proper crib quilt. I have fabric, just waiting for inspiration to knock me in the head.

I'll keep working on my Quiltville mystery. My next project after that is to go back to my Provence & Beyond KS top and make it bigger.

I hope to sew my log cabin blocks together. We leave for Hawaii on the 10th, so once we're there I have two Bonnie Hunter quilts to work on - a Scrappy Mountain Majesties and a Star-Struck. I also have some One Block Wonder blocks to work on, and I gathered Asian fabric from my stash for a little kimono wall hanging. I finished the lotto blocks for January, February and March and sent them to Linda. My other goals are water aerobics in an outdoor pool, golf and mahjongg. And catching up with old friends I haven't seen since last March.

On this, the last day of January, 2017, I'm sure we have all gotten our stuff together and are plugging away. I was able to spend some time at the sewing machine, so it has been a good month for me. Now I'm thinking about a Feb list. Maybe just more of the same. :-)

I did get both floor quilt and crib quilt done for our new baby and she gets several burp cloths. I also was able to do the same for a friend's grandchild. So a good month. Right now i am doing string blocks in an effort to empty that box of leftovers. Impossible, I know!

Sharon, I'm so glad you've been able to sew!

Beth, my DH does pressure cleaning and between holidays and bad weather, he has not worked much for quite a while. I was asking him the other day how he liked being "semi-retired"!

I finished all the units for the Quiltville mystery and have put it away for now. Due to shoulder injury on Jan. 9 I haven't been able to machine sew, so I've done a bit of hand sewing and re-framed several cross stitch pieces. At least it got some small projects out of the closet!

Hopefully my shoulder will be better soon so I can machine sew again.

Glad to hear about a good recovery, Sharon, Donna, didn't know you were out of commission, hope you get better soon.

I forgot to mention, haven't finished the quilt yet, arthritis has decided to attack my middle finger on the right hand and it hurts. I have been attempting to sew but can't stand it for very long at a time. Last year it started with my thumbs, then it burned itself out and went for the wrists. That was really painful. So then that burned itself out and now my middle finger, but this time not on both hands. Weird.

Rita, I'm sorry to hear about your arthritis, but I had to snicker about the location! It's not causing you to make rude gestures, is it?

The second attempt at an MRI went fine yesterday. This afternoon I see my doctor and hopefully he will get me on the mend.
