Did you remove the fireplace in the room opposite the kitchen?The kitchen looks very nice.

tagan67394 not sure which fireplace you are thinking of. The family room (can be seen from the kitchen) had a built-in bookcase and media cabinet that we removed. The ceiling had a furr down over the media cabinet section that bumped out, we continued the wall straight down.

It was so smart to remove those built ins. There's a very good chance the next owner is going to see that wall as the perfect place for their 70+ inch TV. I'm afraid the TV opening you had is considered too small by many folks these days.
