Add some plants! They instantly add life, colour, texture and vitality! Cushions and throws would soften the space too. More natural elements needed to compliment the amazing floor.

Curtains sound like a really good idea. I'd go for a really eye catching colour. What about the pantone colour of the year? Another thing I would suggest is to add a few canvases down the side of that thin wall on the right of the doors, that would look lovely

Hi. Lovely room and furniture. I'd pull the sofa away from the fire and add a slim black console to balance the tv and fire to which you can add a lamp and accessories and move the floor lamp to the other end. I'd also add a tray on the footstool and just add a couple of books, candle and perhaps a little hydrangea (this is a Kelly hoppen hydrangea as you may be able to tell!). I'd go for an abstract patterned rug as I think it should work with the herringbone, this also comes in another shade of blue but I can't find a pic. A sisal would also work. Agree with large art over your sofa in your colour scheme and a plant, would also add a grate with some logs. The art over the fire looks a little small to me so would try slim candles either side. It may be the camera angle but I'm not sure curtains will hang properly? If not Roman blinds? It would be good to see other aspects of the room, maybe even look at the layout (do you use those doors?) and see if extra cushions are needed on the sofa etc
