Mirror decals, and wood tone blinds make me wish for a simple rug, maybe in the blue. So this natural rug, like the floor color {?} has bits of navy.

Hi Katie, firstly just want to say I love your choice to use the navy & white and the arabesque pattern in the bedspread! I would love to see a solid color added to the linens on your bed and then condense the bedspread to make that pattern pop even more! It makes it easier to focus on this as a feature.

This would also help you find an area rug that can offer up a wider variety of colors (which often includes patterns) and NOT have it conflicting with the pop of the bedspread you have. also consider adding a couple of large solid color pillows (which could be textured ) to add interest, more coordinating color choices and to break up all the patterns.

I would be cautious of some of the lighter rugs, as it looks like you have a travertine style floor tile which will carry hints of yellow and caramel. With a white rug the tile could come off looking "dingy" or really golden in color. I feel a darker rug would eliminate that potential and certainly enhance the pop of that bedspread even more!

or look for a rug that simplifies things with a blocky bold pattern and adds the tones of the tile, as a main component!
