I had looked at the above one and have it printed, but as the sizes are not the same and I am a little confused. This is onl my third quilt of this type, the others have been rag quilts or appliqué

Looking at the pieces in this picture (in link), I think you are right about the larger size being for the HST and the smaller for the squares. I'm guessing the the HST are made by placing 2 squares right sides together, sewing two seams diagonally and then cutting between the seams. When you press it open you'll have your HST.

Would you be comfortable relabeling the PDF sizes and drawing your own pattern/picture with your sizes? That way you can ignore the original sizes in the PDF. ☺

I took the easy way out, and made mine using HSTs! Much easier and faster.
