Keep the oak cabinets! What color are the walls?

We had a similar color granite and we chose cherry cabinets. It was beautiful

Excuse the mess in the picture haha! The wall will be painted after we finish with the kitchen project. I'm thinking just white walls. The second refrigerator will be replaced with built in cabinet. The second and third cabinet from the left will have glass doors. I am looking into replacing the doors. I'm not a fan of the oak color so I am thinking light gray for cabinets. This granite with oak color, just doesn't seem to look nice. I feel like it is a beautiful granite but you cant really see it with the cabinet color right now.

I think you are focused on wrong element to coordinate with. The granite is focal. The walls and cabinetry are focal. I like the idea of glass upper door inserts. The paint color needs to compliment the wood. I would paint the walls a nice sage green, change the cabinet doors with glass first. Then if you still want to paint cabinets seek deep green. Not gray. I will search for some inspiration photos for you.

I would also replace fan with nice fixture to compliment your changes.

You can perhaps consider painting your lower cabinets and maybe your table an olive or some green and keep your uppers the oak. Especially, since two would be glass fronted. (hope you will light them inside and perhaps even have glass shelves?) With your white appliances, you are going to have to be careful you don't have too much going on.

Here is some green with oak/like cabinets and lighted cabinets. You could paint your table and change the way things looked quite a bit without doing the kitchen cabinets. You could add some upper cabinets with glass and lighting which would help the overall look and perhaps give you a bit more storage. You could consider having your refrigerator "painted" by a professional in a tone you want as well. Even an olive green! Don't faint! Yes, the retro looks are quite popular.

Notice the refrigerator panels are same color as wood and they have a black apron sink too. Lots of options you have.

the island in this photo is a nice dark gray/green perhaps might work well in your space with your granite as well.

Lovely granite. I can understand why you want to work the kitchen around it. What do your floors look like? Will you be keeping them?

Thank you for your ideas! I do like the color olive green, but I think I would get tired of it real quick if its in my kitchen. As for appliances, we will be replacing those with either stainless steel or black stainless steel, as of now I'm leaning more towards black stainless steel. I don't mind getting rid of that fan, but my mom loves it and its a new fan!!

I do want the granite to the focal point, that's why I want something simple for the cabinets. I like shaker style doors, something simple.

As for the floors, they are tile, somewhat beige color. I will take some more pictures later today and post them. Again, thank you for your ideas.

Also, has any of you had your tiles cleaned professionally? I cleaned the grout myself with a steamer few months back, and now I want them to be professionally cleaned, because I really don't want to replace them.

I picked this counter top and I chose a warm cream Cabinets. If my kitchen was bigger , I wouldve picked a warm darker brown
