if you are sure they are the same model and brand, go for the cheaper one, of course !

Check to make sure they carry the EXACT same model number. That being said , your question is trickier than it sounds LOL. Kohler maintains plants in the US, and overseas. But the warrantee is the same for all.

I have bought all my Kohler sinks, faucets, and toilet online. Usually from a build.com website, (faucetdirect.com or build.com) and could not be happier. Lower prices, free shipping and no tax. I exchanged one faucet for another after receiving it and no problem with that. The items were all in stock and I received them in less than a week, sometimes the next day since one of their warehouses was a few miles away...

When we purchased our convertible dishwasher we went to Home Depot first. They were out of the one we wanted but made sure to tell us that they had the best prices of anyone. We then went to Lowe's who not only had it in stock but, we're cheaper by $158. Since then, we don't even bother looking at Home Depot.

I got a deeper Kindred brand sink from my plumbing store, as was recommended to me by a designer, and I love it. Absolutely no regrets. One of the things you need to look at is the metal content and percentages, and thicknesses. You get what you pay for.

I would buy from the plumbing store. I can tell you from personal experience as well as from the experiences of neighbors, co-workers and friends that Home Depot can be a nightmare to work with if anything needs to be ordered, returned, delivered or installed by them. I have learned my lesson the hard way. Going with the plumbing store should guarantee you good service, excellent quality and no fuss exchanges or returns. In the long run, it'll be worth the extra price you pay in addition to supporting small businesses.

I was told the same thing by our plumber and a construction company, and couldn't get any real answers, so I tweeted at one of the suppliers we are getting products from, Grohe. Their reply: "The quality & warranty of our products are the same regardless if they are purchased through a showroom or big box retailer."

My brother ordered beautiful cabinets for his kitchen remodel. He purchased a beautiful bronze sink and faucet from Lowes.

Prices can often be negotiable when dealing with local showroom. During my bath remodel I went to Home Depot, Lowes and local kitchen Bath store. In Home Depot and Lowes many items were special order. I got print outs with cost and went to local Kitchen Bath store. Some items were in stock and some needed to be ordered. Many items had better price at Kitchen Bath store and for anything they were higher they gave me the lower price. Purchased everything at kitchen and bath store and all delivered within 2 weeks.

On my kitchen and powder room did the same for fixtures. kitchen and Bath store won out again. The only exception was the cabinet pulls which I purchased from Build.com. Also for one I had a broken part, contractor called store and we had replacement by next day as we were able to drive to store and pick up.

I ordered my sink and faucet at Ferguson, which I believe is the same as Build.com, or else Build.com owns Ferguson. Price was the same as Amazon, but at least I got to see the products in person at the Ferguson showroom in Rancho Mirage. When I'm in L.A., I go to the Ferguson showroom in Santa Monica or Torrance, but I like the one in Torrance better than the one in Santa Monica.

Ferguson is very good about exchanges. When my contractor told me that the faucets for my master bathroom sink would not fit, (I used the existing vanity with three holes for each faucet), I was able to exchange the more expensive faucets for cheaper ones and get $1,000 refund.
