There are 3" white recessed down lights in the ceiling & lights in the range hood above the cook top. The white marble counter tops & back splash, white walls & white ceiling amplifies/ reflects the lighting so less lighting is needed... great savings in energy too!

I would really love to know how the veddinge cabinets held up? do you have any idea? do they chip? any discoloration from the sun? are they heavily used? thanks!

Carrarra marble - one of our all time fav's! It's great for bakers & dough not sticking to surface because it's colder than most other solid surfaces. Make sure you seal it after install & throughout out it's life ;-)
