This looks like cast glass. It's likely pretty thick (1/2") to be suitable for use next to a door. It's definitely a custom piece of glass. A local glass shop could likely order something like this for you/your contractor. Expect to pay top $$ for the glass and shipping. It's a beautiful design and the repeat of the pattern in the railing looks great!

The pattern is called Chevron.
