Our kitchen remodeling includes a large granite island to comfortably sit six and we are struggling with the design/look of the stools we should select. We have hardwood floors, white cabinets, our granite has shades of blue/black/gray/tan, appliances are stainless, hardware is all brushed stainless, backsplash is shades of bisque with randomly placed brushed stainless decorative tiles. Due to the shading in the granite, we are thinking we need to go with a subdued bar stool (high top), but can't decide if a stainless frame or a wood frame would look best. Any suggestions for those with a flair for decorating?
