Hmmmm... option A I could not do since it would place it out of baLance from my viewpoint. Asymmetrical works for a modern quilt, and I see this lovely quilt more on the traditional side. Option B with less flowers and use the extra flowers for the quilt backing, or option C, those would be my two choices. It's really lovely, looking forward to seeing the final quilt.

I like the blocks set on point (second picture). Is there a way to use the side triangle blocks to personalize it? Or use the color fabrics for the triangle? I'm not sure how one of the blocks would look as a triangle. Fold one from corner to corner and see if that is pleasing to the eye. I'm having trouble visualizing it sewn in.

I'm not really fond of option A either. The asymmetrical thing just bothers me. Sharon, that is a good ides. Here are pictures of them straight (not bad, but I really like them on point) and with half flowers instead of setting triangles.

I think I like it with the half flowers. I may experiment with a smaller flower, but I think I'm heading in the right direction. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just looked at your other post. I think four flowers on the top row, then three, then four, etc., looks really nice too. I think it depends on how many blocks you have and what size you want it to be. Either way looks very good to me.

Lois, I can make all the blocks I need, but my frame limits the size I can use. Maybe I should have made them smaller, but I think using the half flowers will fix my problem.

I like option B with the half flowers, too. Then a border of the sashing fabric and the outer border. I think they definitely need to stay on point - it looks so much more like flowers that way!

My favorite is the one that is on point with the 1/2 flowers for the setting triangles. My second choice is option three with the flowers set straight.

It's just beautiful either way, but I like the half flowers best, as well. Can't wait to see it done!!
