That's (dark) brown, not black!!!

Jennifer, you are an overachiever! A whole year in one envelope is impressive. Sue and Theresa have done the whole year as well. So every month has nine to start with plus several people have done ahead for next few months. Come to think of it, I could make one heck of a large quilt with them. Ugly, but large! Keep them coming.

Hello fellow quilters: first month for me. (I had no idea a quilting area existed. I usually frequent the African violets) I made three and sent them on their way but forgot to snap a pic. I can't believe I did that but I did!

Here are three from Ontario. I took the light tan literally for one block. Hope it plays well with others for the winner

I finished my 3 today, will post a pic tomorrow and get in the mail on Tuesday. Also sending March's blocks as well!

Finished mine this morning and will send them tomorrow. No mail today - President's Day.

February 2017 Lotto Block · More Info

Here's my 3, going in the mail tomorrow.

Well, they are starting to arrive. I got blocks from Carol in Nevada (two months), Linda in Texas and Marianne in Florida finally. It took so long I was beginning to think my mailman is a closet quilter and is stealing them. But guess they were just behind. Keep them coming folks.

It's a short month and I'll be drawing a name tomorrow. If there are any more blocks in transit besides Beth's, can you let me know please. We'll have 25 so that's a nice size.

And can I get an update on who asked that their names not be included?? I've lost my list. I know Beth did but I think there were others I've forgotten about. If you have won lots or just don't want that month's blocks for some reason, please let me know and I'll keep you out of that one drawing to whittle down the odds a bit. It helps others who haven't won. I usually have a few who hold their names out but always send blocks and for that we're grateful.

Thanks everyone. It will make a great quilt. I think I might donate it to my charity quilt club. Since I am currently snowbirding in Arizona can you please hold off sending them until the end of the month?

All the blocks look really great. Thank you all. I haven't decided what to do with them. Here's a couple ideas. I was thinking to do the horizontal pattern if I donate the quilt to my charity group. However, my aesthetic drives me to arrange it on-point and use the extra 6 blocks on the back. It might all depend on if I can find enough turquoise, brown and beige in our charity stash or if I have to purchase them myself.

Oooh, Christine, I have to say I love the on-point version. But either way, it will be a beautiful quilt. I like your idea of the turquoise sashing and brown corner-stones.

I agree with Lois,the on point with the turquoise is lovely!

I finished the quilt top and donated it to the Rochester Castle Quilters who who will back, tie and bind it for donation. I think it turned out really well. It's just the right size for a twin bed.
