Does anyone know the cost vs regular caesarstone tops?

Yes, I got quotes from Nebraska Furniture Mart and Home Depot. The savings is the rip-out cost (about $8 per sf). And the material cost is somewhat lower as it is not as thick as replacement counter tops. My savings versus NFM were $1600 for a 61 sf counter space area. Plus, you don't need a new backsplash. I've done the deal through Lowes and it is just getting started. In fact, I was this Lowes store first customer to do a deal. Sounds good, but stay tuned to see how they execute.

I understand its only in 200 Lowe's stores. It should be nation wide within a few months.

Technically, you can install an undermount sink, it's just that on these jobs cost effectiveness usually prevents it.

Undermount sinks are only important to people who use their kitchen. Just wait until water gets under that ''slipcover'' and completely ruins the particle board laminate substrate.

Does anyone know if this "process" can be used to cover 70's brick around a fireplace? We would remove the glass doors and use the product around the opening inside the formal 3 sided mantle, then replace the doors. Does that make sense? Also, could it be used over a brick hearth that is 1 brick high?

With products like Neolith, Laminam and Sapienstone on the market, fabricators will soon realize that making a countertop from 12 mm Caesarstone is a lot easier. I know because companies in Holland and Germany produce it this way for over 15 years. Some have an output of 3/4 of a mile each week. Logistically it makes sense too because you can ship 150 slabs in 1 container instead of 100 (20 mm)

Thinner Caesarstone on new substrate is fine, it's putting it over old tops that seems icky.
