TY, looked at Revere Pewter and it may be too dark for this small, dark kitchen.

I prefer BM paint too, but SW Worldly Gray looks awesome with my warm, tan/beige carpet...no green undertone and looks more gray than beige.

Did you try Edgecomb Gray? Maybe that would work?

sw agreeable gray, very similar to edgecombe gray but less greenish, sw accessible beige, bm Manchester tan, balboa mist.

BM Light Pewter

I think a gray counter paired with a tan tile floor is really tricky. I'd probably go mad trying to find a neutral wall color that works with both.

In a small room I'd probably just do white walls and start the hunt for a large, brightly colored (yet washable) rug.

For sure get a sample of BM Manchester Tan HC-81...don't let the small sample in the fan deck deter you......it's a great neutral on the walls! Good luck! :)

Thank you to all for your helpful advice. Wallpaper is coming down now and I have decided on painting the walls BM Classic Gray. If the tan flooring doesn't look right, then it will have to be replaced down the road ; )
