Do you already have furniture for this room....if not buy furniture first, then choose paint...so many different colors you are bound to find one that is complimentary to your furniture. Many paint stores have folks you can help you choosing color. Good luck.

What gorgeous floors!! After all of your hard work....PLEASE DO NOT PAINT YOUR WALLS GRAY !! Gray walls can make your house look like a cloudy day. Stay with warmer colors.

DO NOT paint the walls a dark color you will not like it. The satin silver is nice, decorators white and the collande gray, but I would suggest the floors are oak, and the base boards are too narrow for the room. Wide base is in style and white is and excellent color to set off the wall colors. You should grab some samples and paint large pieces of cardboard with them. Hang them in the rooms to see how they look at all hours. Remember the more light the more color you can get away with. I am always in favor of using a monochromatic color palette coupled with a light neutral to set it off. It makes decorating easy and the rooms look like they belong together. Most decorator magazines are painting rooms in giant houses. Think about that. How many square feet is the house? What kind of light do you have in the rooms? Its is easier to add color with pillows and furnishings than it is to repaint. So, if you like navy, do navy and white combinations in your furniture with whites(white is many colored thing) on the wall or you could do a complimentary scheme of red and navy with white or cream( warm cream) to break it up. Grey blues on the walls feel calm. Greens with a muted tone such as sage or there is a color by bear that is spa green, a nice color. Griege, biege or earth tones are safe choices just consider the light. Low light, lighter color, bright sunny rooms can take more saturated tones. Just test it first.
