I'm a renter too. I don't think it all so bad but it does look washed out. I can't see the window wall but I can see the shadow of the blinds. You might want to consider getting drape panels to frame the window and the do a rod above the bed in the same panel drapes in a rich color. To create a faux window behind the bed using opaque fabrics so the light doesn't come thru. You could use many colors Teal, Black,Burgundy, Purple & so many more. You could also change the spread to a richer color also maybe something with several colors in it , in a print so you could use a solid color from the bed spread for drapes to give a nice coordinated look. I also think that using some tall lamps with a color shade maybe black etc or neutral will frame the bed nicely. Rod iron lamps would be nice.

You might be able to get permission from your landlord to paint, providing you paint the room back to this original color before you move out. Get a separate page added to your lease describing this. Make sure you have the paint brand and exact color of the paint that is on the walls now. Worked for me...
