I agree with your glass provider. Sliding glass really only works in a tub/shower configuration because the tub stops the water from spraying on the floor, or, as they suggest, a very deep shower. Is this purely an aesthetic decision or are you trying to avoid a swing door to save space?

There are brands that are made with a clear seal between the panels. The panels do need to overlap several inches. We haven't used any but we did see them at IBS/KBIS this year. You can do a google search.

Thanks to you both. This was mainly for aesthetic reasons, but it would be nice to save space, too. I just felt that if the shower head was mounted from the ceiling, that the water would be less likely to have to work it's way around and through that gap. I guess I'll just stick with the regular doors. I tried to do this with a tub/shower a few years ago, too (another house), and I was talked out of it there, too. So I guess they work well for very specific situations.

dbh I am also wondering about this option.. easier to give the kids a bath ;) and I have the wall space to the right side...
