What a ridiculously cute house. I would carefully trim the tree just enough to show off the bathroom (?) window. I can't tell much about the roofline from the photo but it's probably fine--when it's time to reroof I'd try for a darker chunkier looking material to look like shingles.Where is the door? Is the little window the entry and not the bath?

I'd lose those hedges---that front view cries out for flower beds to show off the house. And maybe the tree(I love trees).

Paint a lighter color.

I'd remove hedges on both sides of porch and add dwarf shrubs and flower beds. The jury is out regarding tree. It's too close to house but might deserve saving if it's a highly desiraible species. Body of house should be lighter color. I wouldn't add gable/dormer on roof "UNLESS" the porch cover has too little pitch. You should put something in yard as a focal point,make it something you really like.

I like trees - but that tree on the right has to go. I'd find someone who is good with landscaping.

I would remove the flimsy brackets and posts and install one larger post on the left.

I would remove those manicured hedges and the twisted juniper. Then heavily trim and shape the large tree hanging over the roof.
I like the paint color, but agree the roof needs to be darker, and more textured.

The thin iron porch railing looks skimpy. Perhaps replace with wood rail and posts, or just remove altogether.
