Quilt for My Friend

I made this quilt for the woman who has been my best friend ever, for the last 47 years. The pattern came from Kay (aka quiltdiva), who posted here years ago, and shared the pattern with us.

Thank you! Mary is battling cancer, and she wanted a quilt to match her sofa and living room--she spends most of her time there. She didn't want a bed-size quilt, but something large enough to snuggle with, while watching TV. Her quilt is 64"x80", and she loves it. There were tears, prayers, and fond memories in every stitch...and the label was longer than normal, with heartfelt sentiments. Her mother once told me that Mary and I were sisters, who just happened to be born to different parents.
