Serenity Stone Pebble Install

I am installing this tile in my shower in a vertical waterfall pattern. There is a large gap between the edge and the adjacent tile. This would create an area that has a large amount of grout. Is this a problem? I feel that much grout might eventually cause a water seepage problem. Any ideas? Also does this tile need to be sealed?

Your tile installer will literary have to pull circles off and cut in order to fill in the spaces - my guy's do it all the time. Yes to sealing it but more importantly what are you using for waterproofing? You made a comment that concerned me - please check out the new waterproofing products such Schluter - they have video on Utube.

Trim the tile with the circles so it has a straight edge. Young house love has a blog post of how they did that with penny tile in the kitchen.

Yes, you are going to have to create a straight edge on your tile to properly align the waterfall border and the adjacent tile.

Circle tile appears to be natural stone, several coats of sealer applied before mounting & allowed to dry thoroughly. "Grout release" applied before grouting.

I was looking at sealers but didn't know which to buy. Thanks for the sealer advice. I don't know what grout release is but I'll read up on it and buy some. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

You should also look into the epoxy grout which is a two part combination - once that dries you will NEVER have to worry about mildew or discoloration - it's a hard, non penetrable grout and will last a life time.

you can also check out Mapei FlexColor CQ,,same stain resistant but not quite as difficult to work with as the 2 part.

yes your tile guy will have to cut the circles in a straight line to match up to the edge.
