I'd get something with black speckles or charcoal grey to tie in the refrigerator color. you could use one of those Rustoleum Transformation kits to paint instead of replace. Do coordinate the counters and flooring if you choose woodtones and Cork flooring.
I kinda like the tile you have. fresh grout or sealer can bright the floor.

Definitely go with a color that will incorporate all your appliance colors, especially if they are there to stay for a while. So if you have black fridge, stainless dishwasher, etc. Kathleen's idea of black or grey/black speckles would be great. Not sure what that is on your floors now. The economy route would be go to a flooring store and buy some remnant linoleum. If you are a clean freak, you'll probably keep you floors clean anyway so a lighter lino color would work. If a bit more casual in your cleaning habits, something a bit more grey or busy might be better. There are some new, really attractive linoleums being produced (look like rectangular wood or stone/tile segments) now so you might want something like that but would cost more. Wouldn't invest in wood flooring til you are ready for complete makeover of appliances and countertops.
Not sure what you want in way of window...just some privacy? Hang a tension rod at halfway point or where ever you like so you can still see over it and buy café curtains to hang...can be as clean-lined and simple (my choice) or frou-frou as you want but you might buy two sets so they can be washed often...you'll get splashes from the sink. Keep the structural (countertop and flooring) neutral and add some zing by adding colorful bowls, accessories on the counter or paint your backsplash and maybe that back wall that the door is on.
I'd also take the cup hooks off the bottom of your cabinet and store your cups in the cabinet. If you really use that wire basket contraption for your fruit, lay it on some newspaper on the lawn and spray paint it a second accent color. Several light coats at different angles will avoid drips from one heavy coat. Have fun!

The cork and countertop on the right seem a little bland. The counter top on the left has nice contrast. I think the countertops and floor should be contrasting and have a some pizazz to accentuate your cupboards. What color and kind of floor does your kitchen floor butt up to? Do you have any accent colors in the adjoining room? Can you post another picture of your window so we can see it better? What kind of privacy or light control do you need for that window. I like the under mount sinks. They are clean looking and easy to take care of.

I like the layout of the tiles on this floor. The rectangles are less severe looking in a galley style kitchen. The squares are busy.
This shows a contrasting countertop and floor. If you to everything light, I would add some pizazz in the countertop.

This counter top is lighter but is interesting. The floor contrasts too. You could do Konecto which is a vinyl wood that looks like real wood but I would run the strips horizontally so the kitchen doesn't have the look of a bowling alley.

OK, what do you have right now? lol Is that cork tiles on the floor? Is the counter on the right real wood? What color & material is the counter on the left? More pix of the other walls will help. But I agree with the advice so far: darker wood counter & black worked in somehow. Consider painting the end wall with the door black, the cabinet side over the fridge black, and the opposite cabinet side black so that becomes a united accent wall. My instinct is that it will make your kitchen look bigger. Then add a colorful art piece over the door, but extending the entire space (cabinet to cabinet) not just over the doorway. If the "paint it black" idea doesn't appeal to you, then think about an accent color of your choice for the door, trim, & surrounding wall: red, apple green, emerald, turquoise, cobalt blue, etc.

The door to the rt of the fridge appears bland. Have you considered changing it out for a paneled door or painting it with calk oars paint, that could add the black element that other posters have suggested.
