What is the difference between satin nickel and brushed nickel?

I'm trying to find an over-the-table drum pendant and two over-the-island single light pendants. I found the drum pendant in brushed nickel but the drop pendants in brushed nickel. Would that be a problem? They will be rather close together. Thank you for your consideration.

There might be a tonal difference between them, especially if they are different brands but that doesn't necessarily matter. The different finish is no problem at all and if it's even noticeable it will just add interest.

You could buy the chandelier and one pendant. If they look great, buy the second pendant. If not, return it and keep looking.
