Frameless shower door

Our frameless shower enclosure was just completed and I'm not sure if it I'd correct. The installer wasn't any help. The door does not meet exactly and there is a visible gap. Also a gap where glass meets wall on one side. Am I just being picky, or should there be a seal of some sort? Thanks

Which side are the hinges on? If the hinges for the door are on the side with the gap in the picture with your finger in it, that is normal. It is also normal to have a small gap between the swinging door and the stationary piece of glass next to it. There should not be a gap between the stationary piece of glass & the wall.

I just had a bathroom remodel and the builder gave me a choice. He could put on a strip to completely close the opening and then the door could only open out, or leave off the strip so that the door could open inward, too. I left it off and have the same small gap you are showing. I haven't noticed any great leakage during a shower.

There is a small gap between the door and the wall, but I think there had to be to allow the hinges to work.

My door has a gap where there needs to be a pivot. It works great because the door can go in or out. No water escapes.

The standard excuse for any shoddy work throughout the entire remodel was, "it's not our/my fault; the walls aren't straight " the house was built in 1959. But Everything was gutted and redone so I have trouble accepting that.
Thanks for the replies, I'm going to contact glass shop owner to come out and have a look.

I hate excuses. Yes, like everyone else I do complain about out of square walls but the differences is I know how to work around them.

A skilled person should know what is needed and how to make it work not just do what they did and walk away. You should ask that genius how many walls are actually perfect and square?

The worst part is it looks like they screwed up with their measurements and just don't want to eat the cost. Tell him to stand there while you spray the shower at his face. When he gets soaking wet tell him that is why I want it fixed.
