Kitchen flooring- Cali Bamboo Vinyl Flooring

Has anyone used Cali Bamboo's vinyl flooring product? I am thinking about going with this product as I enjoy the look and cost of this product. Pro's and Con's? Is it worth the price? Let me know if anyone has used this product.

Thank you for the comment Cancork Floor Inc, but we sell the same product no matter how it's purchased, direct, retailer or Lowe's.

CaliBamboo is a premium bamboo flooring producer. As the bamboo flooring market collapses, they have been branching out into other areas of flooring. Be aware that the CaliBamboo product at Lowe's/Home Depot/etc is NOT the same high quality as their signature brand found only at flooring retailers.

The big box store products are ALL made by low-end suppliers, they slap a sticker on it and they sell for a decent price at Lowe's. The product is NOT as high end as the brand name found at a GOOD flooring retailer with a HIGH END price tag.

Caveat emptor - buyer be ware (of big box store flooring).

We are looking at the Ash grey, The Nantucket and the Aged Hickory or Redefined Pine. Any comments?

I am a bit confused. Cancork floor said that the Cali Bamboo flooring sold at Lowes is NOT the same product offered at a "good flooring retailer". I was considering purchasing this at Lowes but now do not know if it is the same product. Please clarify... Thank you.

Nina the redefined pine has a lot of black in it. I mean a lot more than the 6 samples we obtained from Lowe's

We went with Grey Ash and LOVE it! It looks fantastic in our beach condo. My only issue is that the connecters between rooms are rounded and hurts a bit if your instep is on it. Wish they had had flat ones.

Does anyone have any experience or comments regarding CALI Bamboo Vinyl Planks in Plus (corked backed) or Pro series (requires underlayment)? It is available at Lowes. We are concerned about scratching, appearance, quality? Thanks!

chris2000kc Get samples from Lowes or call CaliBamboo and get them for free. Do your own testing to see how they look, feel, dent, and scratch. Also check out the geowood product.

@Nina how did your floor hold up? Any gaps now that is down?

@Calibamboo my local retailer told me transitions are not needed at doorways. Is that incorrect. Ordered Cali Pro Redefined Pine to try in a rental. Waiting on delivery.

Any floated floor should have transitions between rooms and spans over 50 feet.
