Are the shelves hung too high or too low? What about decor on table? Should I scrap the shelves and just hang 4 large 8 by 10s? Just put the dang shelves up and second guessing my decision!!!

No, it is perfect, but you need something in the center. I suggest a wire basket. Your symmetry looks pretty good..wondering if lamp is too skimpy for that spot..what were your thoughts?

The shelves look great! I love the uniform framed black and white photographs! The potted plant is too small and the glass thing is distracting. The books are pretty, they pick up the colours of the table and baskets. I would take the plant and glass thing off the table and replace it with a flowering plant, at least twice the size of the plant you have right now. Maybe a weigalia?

I like it too, looks great! You could just put something green on the shelves (maybe a small green frame or a photo with green background), it goes with the beautiful plant.
