OK I have a question. I've never noticed this little "thank you" deal before, but I went ahead and clicked it. How does it get there? I always try to go back and thank everyone for their nice comments so I'm wondering, is this generated by the posters or the system?? Sorry to be so tech stupid.

Rita, I think the 'thank you' only shows to the person who makes the initial post. Snowball Chain appears to be a good name for this pattern. And I, too, like your idea of tacking. I hope I can remember it. Great fabric choices!

I can see that each post says "thanked by ritaweeda". Though if I didn't look at the thread again I wouldn't know that I had been thanked.

Pretty quilt, Rita. I love the little triangles in the corners. And your tacking idea is very clever. I've never tacked a quilt. Do you use a fluffier batting when you do that?

I use regular batting. (I like the 20/80 batting.) I've machine-tacked before. This is the only time where I wish I had a machine with an automatic thread cutter.
