Nothing to worry, I would cut that low eaten branch right off flush or the whole lower limb or two...too low to the ground it seems. Are all in post? Not clear in the first picture...is the main stem toast? If so, make the one good looking branch on the left as the new leader.

Konrad sees a lot more detail than me. I would just wait another year before doing any pruning. I can give you a good venison recipe with bartlett pear glaze while waiting out the year.

Konrad, thank you for the advice. I was wondering in particular about all the small twigs/spurs at the top -- perhaps they are not too visible in the pic. When it stops raining I will take and post a better pic.
