Choose the laminate first to go with your tile, stone, existing wood, and brick surfaces. Then coordinate paint color with upholstered furniture, too.

Be sure to use colors that you like and make you feel good. You are the one that will be living in the home, not us. To avoid the "granny look" you can remove the lace curtains, avoid floral fabrics, and choose something solid and simple like white panel curtains or roman blinds for the windows. I've seen this blush color used with grey, white, and copper or brass accents and I think it can look great (see photos below)!

I would choose white over grey walls unless you use a warm and cheery accent color since you said you live in a cloudy/rainy climate. Choosing light paint colors and window coverings will help to keep things bright over the darker months. It'd be fine to use deeper tones as an accent as long as you have lots of white and light wood to help keep things bright. Look to Scandinavian design for inspiration on how to choose colors for a dark climate.

A light colored wood-look laminate floor would be a good choice for your Victorian house. I'd go with a white-washed pine if you prefer a country/rustic style of decorating or white oak if you prefer a more modern/polished look. You could use a patterned cement tile in your entry/foyer and kitchen or stick with one flooring type to give a more unified look.

A pink beige is a perfect color with leopard prints.

Just to clarify: none of the furniture/drapery is mine. They will be removed. Also, with 10 months of grey skies and rain, I will not use anything on the walls with grey or blue undertones, which includes flooring.

What colors are the stone, brick or tile in the house, if you are keeping them? Any photos of those features?
