Agreed with a large area rug. The coffee table looks about right for the size of the room.

When choosing the new pieces, keep the scale in mind, so that the swivel looks like it belongs (right now, she looks too petite against the existing sofa and loveseat).

I like the orange side table, but would remove the caddy that is underneath it. Balance the tray on the coffee table with some over-size books (yard sales, Goodwill, library sales, etc. are good sources). If going for a beachy design, I'd paint it (maybe a turquoise for a little color and add throw pillows in turquoise to new sofa).

I can't quite tell what is on the mantel, but would just keep the plant (or add a little "hen and chicks" succulent in a small, short planter).

The coffee table is a keeper IMO

Thanks all for the feedback! How about the light swivel chair? (Its got a light herringbone!) I'm concerned it could be too small for space and maybe should put two next to eachother or wait and figure out sofa and club chair size first?

I love the swivel. Another on the opposit side would give balance to the room with, perhaps, a smaller couch. To bring in coastal, I mi ght get a chunky candle on a class bowl shape. Also, you could paint the top of that nice coffe table a creamy white with nautical blue on the rest.
