they're are basically the same. one isn't better over the other. just a matter of preference.

I also prefer the herringbone. I've seen beautiful hex ones, but my sub-conscience tends to think bathroom floor when I see a hex.

What are your flooring and countertop material. I doubt either is so "busy" that it would matter a bit, so if fairly subtle, I too like the herringbone unless you have light fixtures or something that plays off the hexagons.

I agree with jhmarie...the hex makes me think bathroom floor ...and beehives!

Thanks guys. We have a white kitchen (white cabinets, pure white quartz), light gray walls, and a light to med brown barn style wood floors. I think i may go with the herringbone too. Feel like it wont ever go out of style and it's pleasant. Thanks again!!
