White cabinets with grey island. Need some coordinating advice please!

Paint stonington grey
Cabinets - cloud white
Kitchen tile - light grey
Hardwood - java by mercier
Island I'm considering cloud white or a light grey?
Countertops I'd like to do a light white/grey marble type look.
Backsplash - I like subway Carrara marble tiles

Will all those colours jive??

As a full service cabinet shop owner, We have seen a big tread towards Gray cabinetry with white accents. Another big treads are dark blue grays . I think your on the right track with your design .

I haven't picked out the counter tops yet, but I like the look of a white/grey marble look that will be granite

And backsplash I like Carrera Bianca polished marble subway tile.

The first thing to pick out is your hard surface that has a pattern. That is usually your counter tops. Everything else will dance to that. Backsplash is usually nailed down after cabinets are in and countertops are in so you can find something with the right undertones and does not clash. Paint is the absolute LAST thing you do. It will be chosen after everything else is in. This ensures that you have the right color paint with the right undertones. Unless you are using a CKD. They will know what colors will coordinate and will not let you chose incorrectly.

I have a similar kitchen layout and I'm currently in the middle of a remodel. I also went with white shaker cabinets with a gray island cabinet. white quartz countertops. White farmhouse sink and stainless steel appliances. The hardware will be black. I haven't picked out the backsplash yet but I think I'm going with a white subway tile. Im having trouble finding contractors that will do some jobs at a reasonable price. I am also looking into shiplapping the back of island. I'm going for a modern farmhouse look. I will post before and after pics.

I also designed my kitchen with white and gray cabinets. The white shaker cabinets are in an L shape with a white quartz with some gray marbling in the countertop. The backsplash will be a peel and stick granite look (found it at Menards and it's pretty cool and looks like it'll be pretty simple to put up). My island is 95" long and it is gray. I'm still working on picking the island countertop; but am leaning towards a granite (or possibly quartz, if I can find the right color) with a darker color and of course it has to have some "sparkle"!

The most important go-togethers are the tile, counters and backsplash. You need one star and two supporting actors. If you have too many colors and patterns, your eyes will not know where to land. I don't mix patterned fabrics unless the colors are the same same same.

White kitchen cabinets grey island is popular these days.

There are many shades of grey.

    Neutral grey

    Greys with more blue undertones

    Darker slate grey

The picture above shows a grey countertop on white cabinets & does switches the grey island to white countertop.

Get lighting hue to your liking. Light hues can really change a color.

Bring samples into space with new lighting. View your favorite samples in the daytime sunlight and in evening lighting.

Here's an example of just how much a change to just daylight bulbs made in choosing their color samples.

Before light bulbs giving off too much yellow hue

new daylight light bulbs removed the yellow glow.

Not sure that I would like brown floors with all that grey. I'd suggest you do a mock up to see how it looks before you order anything.
