I had snails crawl up a raised porch and over a surfboard to get the potted delphinium! Lucky there were unseen growth buds on mine and it survived.

You may need to do a flashlight search about 10 pm. They climb on nearby foliage and if it bends with their weight they will reach the delphinium.

Not for the squeemish --- place something hard and flat near the attractive plants. A couple of bricks work, stepping stone, piece of thick wood. Then smash a big snail or slug on it and semi-cover it with snail bait. This has worked better than beer, molasses concoctions or bait alone. They come to feast and die.

How disappointing. Remember with Sluggo you have to reapply. It's not once and done. Good luck!
