Hoping for Color Ideas for a Mudroom/Playroom

last modified: 9 years ago

We are looking for a new color for our mudroom/playroom. We are looking at a mainly coastal palette, but I'm having a hard time selecting a color w/ a color of the tiles, unfortunately a new tile job isn't in the budget ;). I would appreciate all color ideas (please excuse the mess and the painter's tape, I'm getting ready to paint the ceiling).

Also... does anyone have any great ideas on what to do with the beam? :)

Just look at that sand coloured floor! Perfect for a beachy room ;)

I know "white", "playroom" and "mudroom" aren't usually words that go well together, but in your case I would strongly consider a very durable white paint (really, it's no harder to wash than a colour would be) and add colour in accesories and textiles.

If you are totally opposed to white, have you looked at a light, fresh coral? That is a nice beachy colour and plays nicely with other beachy colours--sea green, turquoise, yellow.
