Not in the master. I know that isn't what you're hoping to hear, but unless you put doors on the office, you're not going to be able to avoid bothering the other person.

I agree. Working in an office in the actual bedroom will undoubtedly disturb your spouse/partner. Since it doesn't sound like you need a separate, dedicated room, you might consider expanding your master closet a bit to add a desk or put a workspace in your laundry room, if that is close to the master.

Popular home plans have an office just inside the front door with glass doors. This is fine if you are meeting with clients, but ours would have lots of messy wires and papers. We want the office to be private and secluded, and that's why we want it in the master suite. But we can't figure out how to separate it from the bedroom. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
