Help! Color dilemma!

Hi guys, I would really appreciate input on the color of the kitchen bar... We painted it this "santorini blue" kind of in a rush, Not sure it modernizes the space... not sure it's the right blue. I was thinking maybe charcoal or grayish might be better ...? Thoughts? /

we painted the whole house white, we feel like we can add artwork and plants to keep it airy and simple/eclectic, focus on the big windows etc. / But I was thinking about whether or not we should add color to the space under the stairs or that edge/platform part right above the kitchen bar ..

(sorry about the mess, we were still moving in... and still have to update some furniture items (ahem the chairs and bar stools)

I think the blue looks nice with your wall color, and adds some interest to the space. I wouldn't add any color to the kitchen or under the stairs. It would be nice to bring a small bit of the blue to the other end of the room though, either through a rug or artwork. Replace the fuzzy yellow pillow with a solid blue square pillow. I think vertical art on the wall at the bottom of the stairs would look nice, and give to something to look at as you descend.

You've got a cool vibe going there. The only thing that strikes me is that the tones of your coffee table do not work well with the couch. I'd be thinking about that and also how to incorporate end tables and lamps.

I kind of like the blue/ repeat it. I see honey/ blonde legs that go with the coffee table fine. Yellow opposite almost of the blue/ I like no yellow fabric, instead wood in a yellowish tone. Seems simpler.

I like the blue! But do not think you need to paint anything else.

Instead- Why not find a way to incorporate the blue on the other side of the room. Maybe some sort of accent chest on the wall across from the base of the stairs?

The blue is a great accent color; now you just need to sprinkle a bit of it around to establish the thought. Consider replacing the wicker chair with something more compatible with the sofa. If you can't match the santorini blue, you might try a pop of yellow. Paint and distress your dining chairs in the santorini blue with a bit of the dining table color (see below.)

I agree about the wicker chair, though it has a common feel to the coffee table {?}... what color dining chairs are there?
