I would just stick it in your potting mix just like that.

I like to put pebbles to hold it down. It seems to aid in rooting for me because the rocks absorb heat bringing warmth to the cutting.

Just stick it in. I already trimmed it to help it stay balanced in the pot. No need to remove bottom leaf.

Thanks Lydia. I also add some granite grit to my rooting mix. It definitely helps to hold down the stems. Good point about them retaining some heat. I never thought of that before. :-)
