Exterior 1960 Ranch- Ugly Orange Brick

Before (picture show new landscaping and concrete(

After, Did a ton of research about painting brink in the Mid-West. I hated the faded orange brink and put plan in motion. Painted Orange Brick Gray (SW Gauntlet Gray), painted trim white (SW Snowbound) and all doors black (SW Tricorn Black). The Landscaping is new and drive way, walk way as well. We purchased a Wagner paint sprayer and it was a life saver. However, we had to thin primer after having a few paint spayer clogs :o( Cleaned brick and primed exterior prior to painting. Love the look! The UPS guy said he didn't even recognize the house.

I live in the Chicago area and painted brick holds up very well. I painted the ugly raised foundation on my frame house in 74 and have had NO peeling, even when I have pried ivy off of it in spots. Don't let anyone rain on your achievement ("have fun painting it in a few years?") What a beautiful update (light brown? really? ) for a house with a truly dated color palette. Hope you enjoy it for a long time.
