Is it possible to post a floorplan? Your idea sounds nice but it's hard to comment on its practicality without seeing it in context.

I would definitely do it, if you can. We remodeled our master suite last year and added washer/dryer in the massive walk in closet... Everyone that walks through (yes, we've been showing off! To family, so it doesn't count?) nods politely at the marble in the bathroom but then gets genuinely excited by the w/d... It's a real game changer.
