Main Residence Phase II - Office Extension & Elevator

We had the pleasure of working on this beautiful home in 2012 and recently we were invited back when the owners decided to install an elevator (for mobility purposes). This involved doubling the size of the existing sunroom to allow for the elevator shaft and provide twice the space to create a fabulous office for the man of the house.

After:

You can see how the width of the room was doubled from its original size and the same windows were reinstalled on the far wall.

Before:

The elevator is discreetly hidden behind this door and goes down to the basement or up to the master bedroom.

Before:

This was a pretty but awkward shaped narrow room that didn't lend itself well to much.

After:

The custom curtains transform the space and showcase the impressive vaulted ceilings.

Two distinct areas were created - office and sitting area.

We had our clients' existing wing back chairs reupholstered for this new office space.

This is what they looked like before in the basement:

You need to move to blustery cold Montreal, Alexandra! What? You're not coming?!

Looks great! I'm jealous about the elevator (I live in a multi level Cape Cod)!

The chairs look much better, and it's great that you reupholstered them rather then buying new. Much greener option!
