Need help with picking the right light fixture

This chandelier is huge. I chose it over 10 years ago to light my family room because there is no other source of overhead lighting. I'd like to replace it with a five arm chandelier with standard bulbs but I'm afraid such a smaller chandelier will just be dwarfed in the room. the room is about 25' x 22'. what do you think?

I agree that it is too big for the space. A five arm chandelier would be great! If you need more light, consider a few floor lamps.

You can use this basic formula to calculate the size of chandelier you need in your room:
Measure the room's width in feet and multiply by two. The resulting number is the approximate measurement - in inches - that is the ideal diameter for your fixture. For example a 10-foot-wide room would have a chandelier about 20 inches in diameter.
