I know this is a frequent topic of conversation, but I'd like to get an updated sense of some of the better "mid-grade" cabinet suppliers in the Boston metro area.

We essentially have a large galley kitchen with 14 linear feet on one side and 13 linear feet with a 3 ft peninsula on the end on the other side. I've received a quote from Norfolk K&B for Echelon at around $13,000 and Showplace around $16,000 w/o tax. I've been reading some less than stellar reviews online about both lines, and I don't have time to go to each cabinet maker unfortunately. Can someone recommend mid-grade cabinets that they've had installed and love? I am looking for a pretty simple cabinet face (shaker maybe with some detail) and ideally light gray cabinets, although I'd go with regular gray or white if it wasn't offered.

I'm willing to look at any line that has good construction, durable paint job, and has a good price point! I don't care if it comes from nationwide distributor or local supplier, as long as the value is there. Attaching a rough idea of what we're going for, of course this doesn't have any dimensions.
