Hey, Eric! This is the natural color and sheen of the brick. It's an iron spot brick, so it has iron deposits in the clay when it's manufactured. As a result, it has a dark color with a shine that changes depending on how the light strikes it, sometimes blue or orange or purple or red in certain portions, but mostly this dark color.
