Is this suitable for a kitchen backsplash? How porous is the material?

    This materials works great for a back splash as long as it is properly sealed. It is an 8" tile versus the typical 6" tile so keep that in mind when calculating space between the counter top and the bottom of the cabinet. Cement tile is durable and performs similar to limestone.
