my older craftsman opener works ok with 1 remote. but i cannot program it to work with a 2nd odd brand remote concurrently. 1 or the other remote will work. so, i have a genie brand external transmitter/receiver i used yrs ago. it has 3 wires. red/wht/blk. i hooked up the 3 wires to the opener and the receiver does click and the green power light on opener does blink but the opener will not work. can you use the "onboard" receiver AND the outboard receiver on an opener together?
